Our locations

We were awarded “Law firm of the year” by The Lawyer in 2011 in recognition of our role in “re-defining global expansion”.

At the beginning of 2010 we entered the Australian legal market and became one of the biggest legal practices by number of lawyers in Asia Pacific, a region which is taking centre stage in the world economy.

In 2011 we expanded into Canada and South Africa, which are increasingly influential economies for our clients. In January 2012 we expanded further in Canada and added offices in Venezuela, Colombia, Kazakhstan and a team of lawyers in Moscow, making us one of the world’s leading energy and mining practices.

On June 3, 2013 Norton Rose will join forces with leading U.S. law firm Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. to form Norton Rose Fulbright. With 3800 lawyers and 55 offices, including 11 in the USA, Norton Rose Fulbright will be one of the largest global legal practices, with significant depth of expertise in the world’s leading business and financial centres.

Our international expansion opens new opportunities for us to offer a distinctive and compelling proposition to a wider group of clients, particularly in those areas - financial institutions; energy; infrastructure, mining and commodities; transport; technology and innovation; pharmaceuticals and life sciences - where we are strong.

Your international secondment

We have more than 40 offices around the world, spanning six continents. During your training contact you could spend four months on an international secondment. We will always do our utmost to match your location preference to the global opportunities on offer. Naturally, however, commercial need in our various offices around the world will be the determining factor governing where you go.
